Prof Dr Javad Ghofrani takes over as head of the A2S Institute

Ghofrani will take over the management of the A2S Institute on 15 April and brings with him in-depth expertise in the field of intelligent, autonomous systems. The institute conducts cutting-edge interdisciplinary research with the aim of enabling autonomous, human-centred robots in dynamic environments.

The focus is on the development of explainable, adaptable and reliable AI-based systems that act safely and trustworthily. The institute thus makes a decisive contribution to the research and development of future-oriented technologies in the field of autonomous systems.

With the change in leadership, the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems is ideally positioned to continue its successful work and provide new impetus in research, teaching and international cooperation.
